I just noticed that the backup memory emulation isn't universal on the mini, but is contained within each save state, which is an odd choice (so for example, you can't load an old save state on Ys and access your later actual saves, not that it makes any difference).

There’s absolutely no way the PCE Mini outsold the Genesis Mini. The Sega one is in every store in America and the PCE was a delayed Amazon exclusive that sold out. I would appreciate successor models but I wouldn’t count on it. In one interview it seemed like they said they already used every game they %100 for sure knew they had the rights too. I don’t think they have another 50 games ready. but another interview, they also mentioned that there are around still another 600 pc engine hucard and cdrom games and that it's possible that a sucessor model could utilise some of better ones, but it depends on the sucess of this product, I would love to see a new version of pc engine mini with new games and hopefully M2 doing software and hori the hardware aspect, imagine a new version with Jackie Chan, Peach Boy, Pc Genjin 3, Final Soldier, Nexzr, Magical Chase, Coryoon, Kyuukyoku Tiger, Strider (maybe even improvements), Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition, Fatal Fury Special, Art of Fighting 2, Martial Champions (maybe even improvements), Forgotten World, Afterburner 2, Devil Crash.... so on, maybe even games literally lost such as Madnes Marble and Dino Force. You sure can dream, kid.

That Ys I & II interview puts to bed the idea that CDs larger than 650 MB / 60 minutes are not appropriate for PC Engine CD drives. Even that early they were using larger commercial disks.

I was considering copy/pasting them here in case they vanish from the Konami site at some point in the future. Maybe I'll do that.

Thank you so much. I'd since tried IE on my desktop and still had no luck.

So I wound up ordering a TG16 Mini a month or so ago from Amazon Japan, and got it in one piece. They seem to be sold out on there now. Are Konami planning to restock Amazon?

Who knows the pandemic has slowed down manufacturing at this point. If konami does i assume it would takes months before another run shows up for restock.

Anyone else having problems with their Turbo mini working? It was working Saturday, didn't notice anything unusual. Now I fired it up today and there's nothing on screen. Maybe it's the HDMI cable? I didn't have time to check, I was on my lunch break.if it's busted I can't imagine that I'll be able to get a replacement from Amazon. There doesn't seem to be any new units in other than ones that are marked up.

I had something similar happen once, but after restarting it, it was OK.

I think it was the HDMI cable or something to do with the port itself as it has happened with my PS4 before.

These new devices...they often won’t power on unless the HDMI cable is connected at both ends to a working display.
In no way does this please me, it makes diagnosis twice as hard. My SNES Mini flummoxed me a couple of times before I figured this out. With the PCE having no power light it’s even worse.
