Well, and a lot of the titles they chose just highlight how much better 3D games are these days. The other problem is that a lot of these games are available on newer platforms or in newer incarnations. There are so darned many multi-platform titles or games that are otherwise accessible on PC, or PS4, or even Xbox Live. I dunno, this list just doesn't hold a lot of appeal for me. I definitely think the system isn't worth $100. With that game selection I think it would be stronger at $75. For $100 they needed to replace some of the crap with some obvious omissions.

Playstation games are like 100x the size of NES games though I get that maybe they simply couldn't fit as many games on the system, but unless they also had higher licensing costs, I'm not convinced the price point makes sense. I'd be more forgiving of fewer games at a similar price, or more money for the same amount of games. Either way, what they're offering doesn't appeal to me at the price they're charging.

It’s not how big your game is. It’s how you use it. And I don’t want to use most of those games. Maybe the audience is out there, but that audience isn’t me.

Oof, that's pretty damning. We'll see how easily it gets cracked, but if the emulation is garbage, there are better ways of playing. I think I'm gonna stick with a PSTV. That way I get Vita games, PSP games, PS1 games, better emulation, and save about £50

The complaint with the emulation sounds like input lag and display options; no filters or settings just one standard video setting, and input lag on 60fps games is noticeable. I wonder if the TV is a major factor, I would like to hear some digital foundry reports on the performance of the emulation itself rather than a reviewers openion.
If it's hackable, and those are the only issues, this will become my JRPG box lol

Seems odd to me how Sony kinda half-assed this product. Ah well, we shall see how the market reacts.

What the hell does this mean: "Until companies pay respect to original hardware specifications, we will never have accurate home ports of classic games."
