With all these minis coming out it makes you wonder if they will release a PCE Nano? Or perhaps some handheld systems and call them micros? At any rate, its pretty neat to see a lot of these classic systems being released as essentially as retro pi boxes. Just a matter of time before the Playstation mini gets hacked to play more than just PS1 games.

I am a little perturbed by the non committal on the rest of the 20 games... It makes me think that 3rd parties are not committing unless Sony shows a healthy pre-order list. The rest of the releases could end up being various incarnations NFL Quarterback Club... I reckon it's a hype thing - either that or they're still hashing out the final deals. What are you hoping to see? Castlevania SOTN, Metal Gear Solid, X-com, Tactics Ogre, some Megaman and Some Streetfighter Alpha. That's what I'm talkin bout

Sony has a deep enough catalog that they can definitely fill this system with quality Sony titles. I'm not worried about that. I'm just hoping it'll have SotN.

Rapid Reload would also be nice. That's a pretty fun little run and gun

I bought the SNES mini because my SNES died and I sold it so needed a fix. But I already have 2 ps1 I can play burns on and a hacked psp. Though if it had Alundra I would buy it yesterday. I already have 3 copies for all occasions, one regular, one burn, one psn. I need number 4. Also overboard. That’s one of the funnest under talked about games ever.

Alunda? Yeah, I think it should be on there. Great game. I actually mentioned that I'd like it on the PS1 mini in a podcast I did tonight by chance. It's a shame the 2nd one stank. I did beat it, but, personally, I feel like Alundra 2 would've been better off if they had built it with the same engine as the first one. Nice polished 2D graphics, no clunky camera.

Doesn't Alundra require the analog sticks? It looks like this thing is only including the original digital joypads so the console will likely be stuck to older games that didn't rely on analog sticks.

Yeah, I don't even think the 2nd Alundra uses analog IIRC.

I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure when I added Alundra to my RetroPie, it wouldn't detect a controller until I changed the emulator settings to make my USB controller act as an analog controller.
I thought Spyro was the same way, but was playing that some over the weekend on the RetroPie with a digital controller setup. Some of those games play so much better with the analog sticks. I'm really surprised they're using the original pads for this classic console.

It gives them the opportunity for a PlayStation Classic 2.

They'll include DS pads with the second PS Mini, but not sell them separately. At least not until after the fourth volume has shipped.
