Nice! Some pretty good games, shame about Castlevania though.
I've been messing around with the PSTV, I have one that's hacked, I just need to update the whitelist and I'll basically have one of these. It remains to be seen about power draw and if the PS Classic has any fancy hardware upscaling.
Shit, I just realised... How can I do the controller swap trick on a PSTV? (For Metal Gear solid)

I am cancelling my pre-order... You don't like? What's missing? I'm guessing there will eventually be a way to hack them

Looking at that list, all I would likely use it for would be the 2 Bobble related games and Mr. Driller. Lack of analogue makes RR4 disposable and the fighters are not too appealing. Even if they had loaded a few more RPG's in there I might keep it. No Mega Man X4/5, Castlevania, Tomba, Crash, Klonoa. It almost seems like they are saving up for a 2nd release...

Tomba, Crash, Castlevania Chronicles specifically (they just re-released SOTN so I can understand that omission), but also Suikoden, Beyond the Beyond, Einhander, G-Darius, Raiden Project, In The Hunt, Bloody Roar, and a ton of other what I assume would be cheap and licencable were skipped out on. WTF is destruction derby, and does anyone want to play that rainbow six? otherwise I like the selection of games - I just wish it had some shooters.
Battle Arena Toshinden™ - Shitty Cool Boarders 2 - cool, I actually played the cool boarders a lot Destruction Derby - wtf is this Final Fantasy VII - cool/w/ever Grand Theft Auto - cool/w/ever Intelligent Qube - rad, I've never played and want to Jumping Flash! - rad, I've never played and want to Metal Gear Solid - rad, I've never finished and have wanted to get into the series for a while now Mr. Driller - Rad, love these games Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee® - rad, I've never finished and have wanted to play this and the sequel, but better versions exist Rayman - never played this version, curious about it Resident Evil™ Director’s Cut - rad, I've never finished and have wanted to play 1-3, I've only played veronica and on Revelations: Persona - this is rad right? I never played it but assume it's cool to see where the series started Ridge Racer Type 4 - I don't care for driving games, but ridge racer on psp was fun so I want to check this out Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo® - bad ass, best game on this list imo Syphon Filter - always heard good things, never played it Tekken 3 - never was a tekken guy, but this seems like the ps1 version to play? I just bought this disc only for 1.50 though hahaha Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six - seems worhtless, wasnt this a poor pc port? Twisted Metal - not 2? wtf? Wild Arms - I love this game, and will play it again here.

No Gradius Gaiden on The US list is a bummer.

LOL - Quoting myself - for some reason I thought I read Bubble Bobble / Rainbow Islands and Bust-A-Move on that list. Even worse than my delusional list!

Yeah Toshinden can go suck a dick. I'd like A Streetfighter Alpha myself.
Also good call on In the Hunt. Strikers 1945 would have also been good

They have to include some of crappy Greatest Hits for nostalgia, since that's the primary selling point of the device.

The game selection is simply baffling, from almost every perspective. I do not think Sony is going to get the sales they hope for unless this thing is easy to crack wide open.

Nah I don't think it's so bad. It's a pretty good mix between casual and hard core tbh, but stuff like Toshinden is wierd. And Demoliton Derby... while they own the rights, Wipeout would have made more sense. I expect DD has aged very poorly *Edit* yeah, Demolition Derby is interesting, but it's pretty flawed. There's no skill to it, and your car gradually gets more sluggish and unresponsive. Wipeout was flawed too, but it was a better game.

Sony must have been drunk to pick battle arena toshinden.Really soul blade would have been a better choice and the game is superior to toshinden.

My comments on some games from the US list...
Final Fantasy VII Everybody praises it, I've never come to play it yet.
Grand Theft Auto I loved it back in the day. But after GTA III, it is pretty hard to go back and deal with the controls and limited overhead view. Due to the mission structure that will only save your progress everytime you beat a whole city (which can take hours), this desperately needs a quicksave system to make it bearable.
Jumping Flash! Didn't expect that. Nice.
Metal Gear Solid We need more Konami games on the PS1 classic.
Resident Evil™ Director’s Cut After the superior GameCube remake, RE2 would have been my pick.
Ridge Racer Type 4 Should have analog controls.
Tekken 3 Graphics and sound held up pretty well, which puts other 3D fighters of that console generation to shame. Smooth controls, a huge roster of characters that are fun to play, silly FMV credits. One of the best Tekken games up to this day.
Omake: Gradius Gaiden Fuck yeah. Best Gradius I've played so far. Massive fun in 2-player-mode. This should have been on the US PS1 classic as well to show the rest of the world on what they missed out back then.
