I'd like to have seen a HuCARD of Cobra Command by the same team at Data East that did the Bloody Wolf port. This was a fave of mine bitd www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-ouZSwmOUgA Super CD of the Laserdisc arcade game of the same name would be interesting as well since the only other port from that generation was on Mega CD. I'd love to be able to compare the differences. For some reason I'm not big on (or as good at) the "two plane-level shooting"games. A few exceptions Parodius, Mr Heli...but REALLY dislike Dragon Spirit/Saber, horizontals to.

How about two of my favorite late 80s coin-ops from Atari, Xybots and S.T.U.N. Runner?

How about two of my favorite late 80s coin-ops from Atari, Xybots and S.T.U.N. Runner? looks awesome and like Double Dungeons! Don't think I've ever seen this in London arcades back in the day. Did anyone ever ask if Tengen considered doing a TG-16 port of this?

Xybots is loads of fun! This always gets playtime in when I load up Midway Arcade Treasures Vol. 2. Definitely way ahead of its time.

Like with Virtua Racing, Atari's single shaded polys look as good as they did 30 years ago.

Sadly, there's really no way that's going to work on a PC Engine, unless someone wants to bolt a DSP to a HuCard and make the PC Engine's response to SuperFX.

If they can pull off some kind of 3D on gameboy surely a company could have done something similar with the pce hardware?? Even the C64, could a talented developer with 3D know how make something similar to this or even surpass it?

I've watched Gaming History Source's comparison videos for nigh on ten years now and they're always thorough and thoroughly entertaining. Kudos to the guy for painstakingly playing all these different versions both good and bad.

Since the release of the SNK 40th Collection (thanks, Exodus) I’ve been really into that era. There was nothing like a decent port of Ikari I or II for any console until this collection, IMHO. A PCE two pack of both games packaged with a loop lever stick ala Forgotten Worlds would have been priceless. The game itself could easily be improved over the originals.
And Sky Soliders. I don’t think this was ever ported to anything. It was a really good shooter.
