Yeah, I’m not sure what they were meaning to say about Snatcher. This was a good read, thanks. I think that this yet another interview in which someone involved in the business side pretends that they were involved in the development.

Most likely. It also sort of read like one of those interviews where, when speaking through translators, to avoid the risk of doing anything even remotely incorrect whatsoever the Japan-side will just stick to a very carefully prepared list of talking points and their exact position on every one of those. It can be very hard to break the ice in those situations.

I've only read two examples off the top of my head where a Japanese dev breaks script and goes full-on anecdotal. Both were, to my great surprise, fantastic reads.

_jash and I recorded a podcast about the Mini. We chat about every game in the lineup, share some memories, and goof around. You can listen to it here or subscribe to our feed here. Thanks Josh and DK. I DL'd the podcast and will check it out soon! This was so much fun honestly! I would love to do more retrospective episodes where we sit around and talk for hours about obey! <3

Joe's Game Sack review highlights the audio delay, and now that I know it's there and how it manifests I suspect I will never be able to not-notice it.

Ha, I'm a bit sensitive to this stuff, anyway. Even without having grown up with the Turbo, I noticed it. I also remember very much noticing the same thing with the NES Classic core (you can install it on the SNES Classic). Just the way the shots sounded and the plink of Mega Man landing was enough for me to notice it - I've played those games far too much to not catch it.
Still, even with it there, I wouldn't say it completely ruins it, but it is suboptimal. Wish there was a way to fix it; maybe some intrepid hacker will figure out how to modify the core and reduce the sound latency setting.

One thing I did notice that one one of the levels of the enhanced Fantasy Zone (I think it's the ice one?), sometimes one of the sound channels in the music doesn't kick in (the main melody).

I had a Plasma my brother gave me that I used as a spare TV for a minute, and running composite signal to it had really bag in input lag. I was able to get used to it and play most games (I didn't have a choice)... but sound lag (not matching the action happening on screen)? I don't think I could ever get used to sound lag, or rather, out of sync sound. The thing about the mini's input lag though, so 4-5 frames out the box.. then you're TV is going to add some. +3 frames if you're lucky and have a good set, but that already puts you at 8 total. I imagine it's worse for other TV sets.

I will continue to not watch the show. Okay grandpa Are you insinuating that if a person’s age is below a certain number then they will automatically be a fan of Gamesack? I assure you that majority of all humans in every age bracket has never heard of GameSack and the majority of those who have have chosen to never watch it. Game Sack is not Star Wars or Michael Jackson’s Thriller. It’s just another podcast, and since I knew the guy’s vibe before he did this...maximum disinterest. But now if I start watching I can learn why something I like sucks...double max disinterest. I’d rather sit in my rocking chair and whittle.
