We all know the Turbo was the best, but what was your first?
My first console was the Atari 2600. My parents got it for us for Christmas, probably around 81 or something. I loved the damn thing and played Combat all the time. Another favorite was Superman. But Lock n' Chase was the shit. Played that game constantly and loved it.
After that, I never owned an NES when I was a kid, but managed to sucker my Dad into getting me a TurboGrafx-16. That's when I fell in love with gaming.

Some TI machine with Munch Man. It went back after only a few days and an Atari VCS/2600 replaced it.

I got to play lots of plug 'n plays misc, but the first console my family bought the original model Intelivision. In retrospect I lucked out, as it has the most origjnal and unique games and gameplay of pre-8-bit consoles and I was lucky that my parents decided to buy AD&D Cloudy Mountain and Treasure of Tarmin.

Atari 2600 for Xmas too around 82 maybe? My father had an Odyssey pong that we played a bit before the Atari. I later became obsessed with computers and saved up my paper route money for a C64. Didn't own another console until the Genesis and a hand me down NES.

The first console I played on was a 2600 my Dad purchased when they first came out (I was born in 84') The first console that was mine was an NES that my brother and I received Christmas of 89'. First console I purchased with my own money was an N64... yeah my life is full of bad decisions.

My house had a NES - my brother and I got one for Christmas of 86, and we love it. Our second console was the TG16 - and it was the first console I received as a gift to me so it was the first console I personally owned.

Atari 2600 if i remember right either it was a birthday or christmas gift.Though i don't have the 2600 any more,by the time i got a nes that became my main console.Which led me to selling the 2600 shortly there after fond memories of the console though.

2600 was my first 'console' as well. Assuming you don't count pong games as consoles

Mine was the good old GameBoy. White case, purple buttons, snot-green screen. The first game (not counting Tetris) was Bart Simpson's escape from Camp Deadly. This game became one of my all-time guilty pleasures. So it must have been 1991 then.

I think mine was also the Gameboy. I'd had a Spectrum, a Commadore 64, then an Amiga, and my step brother had a Mega Drive, which I was enthralled by. I had to admit the games were cmpletely different to Amiga games, and very fun.
Then when we went on holiday to France, my mom surprised me with a Gameboy and Tetris and I think Double Dragon? I was over the moon. I bought RC Pro Am shortly after, and it was fun, but that game definitely cheats.
