While I'm watching the video, I've got to thank you for a quick flash of something early on in the video... You had a Wayback Machine window open to the Turbo list site. Although I was an active member of the turbo-list all those years ago, I honestly forgot that there was a site associated with it. There were lots of game hints, walkthroughs and reviews there, which I thought had been lost forever. THANK YOU ! For those who didn't see it in the video, here's a link: web.archive.org/web/20050617085445/http://joyce.eng.yale.edu/~bt/turbo/Also, nice video ! I'm looking forward to the next in the series. P.S. I had bought the red/white/blue Garghav games which were translated and brought over to North America on the PSP so that I could understand what was going on... but there were quite a lot of errors in the translations, which probably ought to be mentioned.

Loved the video, once again! Now this is a game that I might actually like ... although it sounds like the Windows version might be the most-accessible, although the Saturn version does sound fascinating. It *almost* tempts me to think about getting my Saturn out! With your ability to understand the Japanese language, I'm kinda curious what you thought of the earlier PCE DragonSlayer games ... i.e. the Legend of Xanadu games. With Legend of Heroes III originally coming out in between the releases for Lox! and LoX2 (if I've got my dates right), then the titles all come from a similar time in the evolution of Falcom's game-design and story-telling.

Personally I LOVE The Legend of Xanadu II. The flow of that game is so perfect. It might actually be one of the best Falcom games ever made in my opinion. The balance between dungeons and fighting between talking to characters in towns is really perfect in that game. I also think the graphics and music are better than the first. The only way that it could be improved is by having actual sideview stages like the first instead of just bosses (which is a huge copout and the only big blemish on the game). I was never a big fan of Legend of Xanadu I. It's mostly about erranding between the different towns and characters, and it can take forever. You spend most of the game looking forward to when you can finally play a new dungeon or sideview stage. The rest of it feels like filler, and the game is long for the sake of being long. I know some like this game and I am happy for them, but it's not quite my cup of tea. The second one is a much more enjoyable experience all the way through, and is just the right length IMO.

New video! You may know Enix for the Dragon Quest series, but did you know they also made a similar turn-based RPG on the NEC PC-88 in 1991? Watch to learn all about it!

I do recall getting a few emails as part of the Turbo List, honestly I still have the yahoo email associated so I likely still have them! haha. I think I never replied properly to the email chains so nobody saw my replies, but it was a good time! Turbo List and the Turbo Turnpike were life in the late 90s! <3

That was mine! Not sure exactly what the point of a webring is even to this day... but figured the Turbo might as well have one! Anyway, I've got a new video today. Continuing The Legend of Heroes series on PC-98, here's "A Tear of Vermilion". The game was later remade on Windows and PSP. The original is completely different though, so let's see what was changed!

I love these videos. I also really love the sprite art in this version.

Hey guys. This time I did an interesting game called Melroon, which you've probably never heard of before. It turned out to be quite an interesting game, though. Please check out the video and let me know what you think! Should this game have been released on the Turbo?

I think that would make a terrific PC Engine game. Just give it all the usual PC to PCE improvements and it would be perfect.

Just watched the Legend of Heroes V video ... excellent once again, thanks! :-) Thanks! Glad you liked it! Here's the link, btw, for anyone else who didn't see it. (I was away from my PC when the video went live and wasn't able to easily post it to all the forums I usually do.)

Finally got around to covering this game. Of course Farland Story FX is also included in the video!

Looking for a USB mouse -> PC-98 converter, huh ? Any ideas where I could find out what the protocol is ?
I've been able to make mouse converters for PC Engine and PC-FX, and I made a board to convert modern USB joypads to XE-1AP for the PC-98, so it shouldn't be too hard...
