It took me a while to get around to it but I finally spent some time watching your videos, the ones for XZR, XZR2, and Ys III are all pretty interesting to people like me. I’m never going to play these games, not the PC versions anyway, so I greatly appreciate the digest versions you give. I never knew Sadler saved the world by killing Reagan. It seems so obvious now…I also had no idea Burai 1 was so friggn high end. Seriously, a 37 min intro on a floppy game? Has to be a record…

I just put up a video about the PC-98's own Castlevania-inspired platformer known as Rusty. Curious to know how many of you have heard of/played the game. Your feedback is welcome as always.

Thanks for watching, as always Elmer! It seems so obvious now…I also had no idea Burai 1 was so friggn high end. Seriously, a 37 min intro on a floppy game? Has to be a record… Thanks so much for taking the time! I'm especially glad you watched the XZR videos since those got a lot less views than my other videos for some reason. I thought I did pretty good work on those videos! Yeah, he kills Gorbachev and Reagan... who also has a mutant killer monkey! That Burai opening goes on for way too long... but it does actually kind of make sense once you know the rest of the game's story. Still, kind of a shame they didn't just put each character's intro at the beginning of their scenario. Guess they didn't want you to have to do a bunch of floppy disk changing.

The saga continues... Will the evil Monte Carlo be revived again? Will we ever get to the Rustytroid games? All of these questions are... NOT answered in the video. Check out another fun game using the Rusty engine!

After watching you're review for rusty and totsugeki mix it's fascinating to see these games for a obscure computer.I don't know why but for rusty graphics, kind of remind me of el viento for the sega genesis. For totsugeki with it's colorful graphics i was thinking, zool for amiga.I don't suppose there's some kind of pc98 emulator to play both because i sure don't see myself importing one.Heck when you showed the price for rusty i was like damn and i thought buying msx games was expensive to buy for.

Dumps of both games are not too hard to find online. As for emulators, just go ahead and use Anex86. A lot of PC-98 fans will not recommend Anex86 cause it's abandonware with unfixed bugs, but it's the easiest to set up and for these two games it will work perfectly. Just make sure you go into settings, "sound" and select "-86" for soundcard, and then in the "wave" tab turn the "rate/buffer" to "55KHz" or it will sound like crap. Enjoy

It's about time I covered one of the Hudson/Nintendo games. Here's Mario Bros. Special!

This time I'm playing a game that's not for PC-88 or PC-98, or any other NEC PC. It's Castlevania on the X68000!

Nice! And I appreciate the additional review of the MIDI music. In those days when the game out, it was always amazing to hear a good SC-55 soudtrack in comparison to the other console/computer music tech of the time.

It was practically like playing a Turbo CD game. Thanks for watching.

I 2nd Elmer's comments, good watch! Always nice when YT pops up with another Basements Bros "suggested" video. Keep it up.
I commend you on the perseverance to clear these aged RPG's and getting the video to produce quality content.

Ever wondered how I became interested in old Japanese PC's? It was largely thanks to this game! Glad I was finally able to make a proper tribute video. Let's talk about the sequel to the two Dragonslayer games on the Turbo!
