After a few years taking a break, I finally decided to get back to reviewing NEC PC-88 games on Youtube. This time I'm doing an RPG that we all know and love on our Turbo. I compare the PC-88 version to the Turbo version several times in the video. Hope you guys like it.

Nice! Are you going to do one for Legend of Heroes 2? I want to learn more about that game since there is no English version of it.

I reviewed the second game as well. Please check it out if you ever wanted to know about all the crazy stuff that happens in the sequel that we didn't get in English. (Spoiler warning included.) Thanks for watching!

I reviewed the second game as well. Once again, thanks! I really enjoyed hearing about the subtle differences (improvements?) in the 2nd game, even though it sounds like a bit of a slog to actually play without a walkthrough. As you said in the video's comments, you found similar problems in LoX1, wheras I only got stuck twice in my playtest of the English translation. Since then, we added some subtle hints for those situations within the dialog itself ... although it will never be as simple and linear a game as LoX2.

Interesting review ! I never tried to play through the second game, but I might try now.
Incidentally, it was recently discovered that this game uses basically the same compression scheme as Emerald Dragon / Ys 4, so the technical challenges of translating it might not be so bad (although there's still the question of a translator, and how to deal with cut scenes).

Hey, glad you guys liked the video! I made another video in the series. This time, it's not turbo-related, but hopefully you guys are interested in classic shmups like I am.

Hey guys. This time I made a video about a game called Mirrors for the NEC PC-88 CD-ROM. The CD drive for this system is the same drive as the PC Engine. Not a directly turbo-related video, but hope you find it interesting. Thanks!

Just added a video on Ys 2 for PC-88. Please check it out! Of course the Turbo version is best, but how does it compare to the original?

The TG16 version is still my most favorite one for Ys 1&2.Still it's some thing to watch a review for the pc-88,Ys.Still you gotta start somewhere, granted that falcom did started out making games for various computers originally.

Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Just now I've posted a video on XZR, the game that came before Exile on our beloved Turbo CD. I hope you'll find it interesting learning about the game that came before...

I'm really enjoying these - it's good to the see the history I was vaguely aware of, but never saw until now. If you've also got PC-98 stuff, I'd be interested in that too !
