So far I’ve liked
Nine scrolls: a twin stick fantasy shooter.
Mighty gunvolt Burst: think Mega man. Pixel art and all.
Wonder Boy: Such a beautifully drawn game and the game is solid.

Blaster Master Zero: an ABSOLUTE MUST if you dug the NES original. Hell, if you enjoy any open world 2D scrolling titles like Metroid, this game is a wonderful pickup! Cave Story: Just like the Wii/Wii U versions on steroids. and even better it got an official physical release!!

So, for someone who only played the original free PC version, what's the appeal of the Switch (or Wii/WiiU) version?

Well I guess the switch version you can hold in your hand. There’s also a nice instruction manual and tiny soundtrack CD-ROM there. You can also do 2 player and there’s some updated graphics and I think 4 soundtracks to choose from. Not sure about gameplay wise I never tried it on pc.

Wii version has updated graphics and new music, but I believe these are included in "Cave Story +" on steam, which also includes a new area. Switch version lets you burn more money for the portability I guess.
