Aside from the obvious ones (GunHed etc) I had Kaizou Choujin Schbibinman 3: Ikai no Princess which I used to show off to my friends as it was short, had great graphics/music, tons of variety and a two player mode.

But gawd those sound effects... I kind of want to fire the person who OKed that. Even is that person is retired, I still want to fire them.

Coryoon
Great for communicating to those who care about the PCE's flexibilities and strengths. Easy, fun, and universally appealing regardless.

Ninja Spirit... it doesn't get much more retro than 16-bit 2-D sidescrolling ninja action. And Ninja Spirit is a doozy

You can't go wrong with Bomberman. It's bright, it's fun, you can play it with everyone and likely at the same time.

For me its bomberman 93, any platformer, sometimes sidearms special and, dugeon explorer. But most people I know dont care for graphics just mostly the fun factor.

Rondo of Blood is my go-to for the wow factor. Ai Cho Aniki is usually popped in to get a laugh out of our guests. For multiplayer gaming, Street Fighter II is always popular, and everybody always says how much better it is than the SNES and Genesis versions. The bulky card is a point of interest too. Sometimes we'll play through some Detana!! TwinBee.

I love Street Fighter II on pc-e but it's not as good as the SNES version. Not sure why so many feel it is. With that though it is still a nice game to show off.

I think, all things considered, all the SF2 ports are of similar quality. They all play correctly, sound right, and move well. SNES has better music instrument samples, but a lot of notes are off making the music sound discordant in places. SNES has best graphics. PCE has the best voices. Genesis has the best music. It’s really a wash. Most people will prefer the version on their preferred 16-bit platform.

The Genesis music is really good. I still prefer the SNES music though. I can understand it being a wash. Genesis also is the only 16-bit console port to have the arcade intro. That was a nice politically correct addition.
