Last one of the week!
Original Bomberman, the game that launched one of Hudson's most beloved franchises, and the beginnings of one of the best damn multiplayer games there ever was. This one is fairly bare-bones as it goes, we see none of the "gimmicks" from the later games and I *think* the battle mode only has the one arena in this one. So while it would get older a bit faster than the later games with the fancy arenas, it's still a great time with 3 friends (I think this version is max four players). Single player is always enjoyable, if not too taxing. While this game is outmatched in every way by the later titles, this is still a fantastic game.
Kato Chan and Ken Chan... How this got so far, I have no idea. Awful controls, and bland gameplay, identikit bosses... the only thing that this game has that alleviates its blandness are the hidden items - which have no indication whatsoever as to their location. The graphics aren't that bad, but this game is poorly designed and poorly executed, and I have no idea how it beat many far better games to sneak into the top 64.

JJ & Jeff for me,I like the wackiness of the game, don't find the controls bad once you get used to it.Is it the best platformer?no but still a good platformer for me personally.

JJ & Jeff is a great game and much better than KC&KC.
Bomberman just happens to be one of the games where Hudson perfected the formula.

Love me some JJ&Jeff, but that's mainly for the goofy factor. It's a fun little game, but doesn't come close to Bomberman, which is one of my all-time favorite franchises. And though this is an early Bomberman, it's still damned good.

JJ & Jeff is a great game and much better than KC&KC. what's different? The main thing is that the stages are designed in a way that compliments the spray can mechanic. Once you get the hang of the game you'll be pulling off combos which incorporate sliding at the end of some maneuvers and spraying an enemy before continuing at a steady pace. In KC&KC, you just have the gimmick of stopping at any time, turning around and farting. In order to make use of it, in almost every case you are trying to get near an edge or obstacle without getting too close... then tapping in opposite direction to turn around. This moves you away a bit, which is why you end up pushing how close you can get before turning around. Then you can finally shoot a fart cloud at an enemy, after all momentum has been destroyed.

Yeah, that does actually sound like quite a difference. Today I learn!

I think that the KC&KC license was slapped onto a game already in development.

I quite like the strategy of turning to fart, once you get the hang of it you feel super cool when you pull it off perfectly.
