August 21st.
My Dreamcast is a bit shonky now and prone to resetting itself, so looking forward to looking for sailors again without fear of save loss.

There is a fix for the Dreamcast reset problem. For years I have had my DC's lid switch jumpered to closed, because the switch is the problem. You can actually take the switch apart and clean it and get that DC working like new again.

This is excellent news! I've played through the original many times and though I have a PAL DC copy of the sequel I haven't played more than a few hours in to it.
The original has always had a special place in my heart thanks to its atmosphere created by its soundtrack. Like when evening turns to night in the industrial district. I get many warm emotions just thinking about it.

I loved these games and have already preordered the remastered. That said, I’m guessing they probably haven aged well and are a bit janky to play these days. Looking forward to finding out...

And you know the annoying internal battery problem that makes you input the date every time you turn it on? I soldered a socket in, so next time, it's just a case of pulling it out and sticking a fresh battery in. 4 screws and you're done! Such a good mod

The controls, camera, & resolution are all supposedly tweaked, so I'm looking forward to it all the more. I never did beat the first 2. but have fond memories of it none the less.

That's my biggest fear returning back to these. I enjoyed the first game just wanted more random battle encounters to build up each attack and I hated the warehouse forklift job. So I'm on the fence with this although I might just own it for collection sake.

It’s ok working the forklift up to a point but after a few playthroughs over the years it gets a bit dry. I think the remaster should have a job centre so Ryo can spread himself out a bit, maybe even go on the dole for a couple weeks and get drunk at the arcades.
