That's pretty impressive for a C64 game. I love playing Puzzle Bobble!

It's crazy interesting how most of the cool Retro game homebrew is done on the 8-bit computers... Here's a remake of R-Type for the Amstrad, even includes a brand new secret level!

both of these look really good, if R-type is a lil jerky for my tastes.
I might start a thread about puzzle bobble, but I'll do some research first. I did want the SNES version, but I've got so many copies of different puzzle bobbles now, I kind of want to look into differences. I need to know if there's a definitive version

The Arcade version would arguably be the definitive. Unless you're talking about added content and whatnot, in which case 2X for Saturn is probably as close to definitive as you're going to get.

I did a bit of research and it seems like 2 is the preferred PB of the hardcore players, 4 is the preferred of the casuals Apparently 4 has some kind of chain reaction thing that makes it fun

2 has the most delightful soundtrack and sound effects. All the kids voices are kinda weird and awesome. Like when they yell out "Mail bomb!"
