The real problem is that these aren't just forum posts. They're written reviews and articles, which means respecting copyright is very important. We need to get the sign-off from the site's creators, or we need to be OK with using the Internet Archive for access. Take a look at the banner of this site. We aren't concerned with respecting copyrights or technical legality. The only decision to make is if you want to preserve a replica of the site until Runin can be contacted to say what he would like to do going forward from then on. Well it's not quite the same thing, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind us preserving their work until such time they can reappear to take charge

It's not something that I can see would be easy to replicate in forum format though, without being a nightmare to navigate.

Warning to those visiting this site just to check in: I had a malware warning as soon as I clicked into the DB site, and Malwarebytes thankfully blocked it.
What's the progress on the preservation project?
