Not to mention Runin did a few great interviews with Icom, Manley Associates and Dave Marsh & Andy Eddie.

Does anyone have their personal contact info? I'd be happy to cover the domain costs to keep the site up. I could even transfer the database to my web host and take care of the hosting if that was an unnecessary expense to them.

Especially strange, since japjac did exactly that on PCEFX and NFG - removing all the content of his posts and replacing it with some utter nonsense. Perhaps Japjac's "Print is Forever" combined with his incessant deleting of posts is some sort of marketing attempt or even some performance humor? The name and the actions seem related to me...
For realz though, that was a great website. No, I didn't always agree with what was said but I definitely appreciate the verbosity of some of the reviews. I learned about a lot of games that are in my collection now due to reading the page. I hope it comes back.

I would be more than happy to take over paying the hosting fees to keep that site up. Who runs it? A member of the community, or?
Edit: Sorry, only read the first page of the thread before posting. Didn't see roflmao's post.

Runinruder was the head "Duomazov Brother" but he's been MIA for four years.

Runinruder was the head "Duomazov Brother" but he's been MIA for four years. Pretty shitty that in one year, Nanto's absence basically killed off that website, and now Ruinruder's absence is potentially going to kill off TBD.

I hadn't checked it out in a while but I read nearly every page on the site at least once. My favorite was the "Are You a Turbo Badass?" challenge game list. I really got into a lot of obscure and Japanese heavy games from their reviews and was heavily encouraged to start clearing as many games as possible. That to me was the golden age of NEC fandom in the US when all these Japanese games were finally getting reviewed, videos of gameplay posted online for the first time and easy to import them from ebay in around 2010. I hope they bring it back someday but if not, thanks for all the awesome reviews and articles

The only person that may have had Runin's contact info that I can think of was Nat. But he's been gone longer than Runin has.

That's a shame for you. If it was in print it could't possibly suddenly vanish. Hang on... ;o) People are tolerating you by the nature of this new forum but you really are trying, aren't you.

Accessing thebrothersduomazov.com now results in malware alarms. Especially strange, since japjac did exactly that on PCEFX and NFG - removing all the content of his posts and replacing it with some utter nonsense. History repeats itself.

Has anyone made any headway in hosting the site's content?

I think it should be doable to make a perfect clone since it runs on top of blogger. You could even put it in a free blogger domain.
Which reminds me that I have to try running HTTrack on it.

The real problem is that these aren't just forum posts. They're written reviews and articles, which means respecting copyright is very important. We need to get the sign-off from the site's creators, or we need to be OK with using the Internet Archive for access.

We need to get the sign-off from the site's creators, or we need to be OK with using the Internet Archive for access. Take a look at the banner of this site. We aren't concerned with respecting copyrights or technical legality. The only decision to make is if you want to preserve a replica of the site until Runin can be contacted to say what he would like to do going forward from then on.
