I think I largely agree with you.

I am almost done with my Trek-education. I started watching Star Trek late 2016, and right now I have about 12 episodes left on enterprise then I've watched everything except for the recent reboot. I watched in order of OG, NG, AS, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise. I watched the movies randomly (in chronological release order) throughout that time. So much good to be had in the Trek stuff, I am really glad I took the time to get learn about that trek crew. I have to admit to missing large swathes of episodes as I always watched secondarily to working, playing games, or doing chores, but it's been the background noise of my life for almost two years lol Edit: Openions: NG rules, OG is a period piece moreso than any of the others except for maybe enterprise, Voyager was a fun adventure in the end but had the fewest likeable characters, ds9 had fun NG cameos and the most cohesive overarching story, enterprise was overly sexualized in some times and overly focused on conflict, animated series was silly fun and the most far out-there ideas, and tribbles are weird. I mostly agree with your conclusion. I find NG by far and away the best, then second DS9, then Voyager. Those are the three I really like. The OG series is OK, I watched the reruns of it in the eighties as a kid but still I'm not overly nostalgic for it. Everything else I've not got into it, I've tried, but just didn't like it.
