I have my Duo sitting next to my PS4. I keep glancing at it thinking how nice the Duo looks. If I were to put anything else next to the PS4 from that era, it would look blockish (SNES), bulbous (Sega CD), or big (CD-i). I guess the AES would look okay, until you stuck a cart into it.
What do do you think?

It’s definitely the sexiest console of its generation. But like Paul referenced, the PS3 owes a lot of its design to the Duo.

When the PS3 was released, comparisons to the Duo R/RX were made. I posted a side by side pic of a Duo RX in b&w next to a PS3 and they're very similar. The discs spin at the same spot as well.
The PS3 slim was just that much closer.

I think the whole Duo line was forward thinking and totally unique (like all of NEC's output for better or worse.) I have nothing but praise.
