TLJ does seem to be polarizing. For the most part I loved it, and quite a bit more than TFA. I thought most people were done with SW after the prequels, but I was clearly wrong.

Avengers: Infinity War, it was alright I suppose. Not a fan of modern day super hero movies but this one was probably the best of the lot.

TLJ ripped a hole in my soul. Me too. I've re-watched it once and there is a lot of stuff that is really cool in the film, but the stuff they messed up so outweighs that.

I've not bought it, I just can't bear rewatching it. It's a similar feeling that I had to the Stallone Judge Dredd, except there is more wrong with TLJ.

Did the prequels not offend your sensibilities?

Did the prequels not offend your sensibilities? The prequels were so unenjoyable that I still have not (and probably never will) seen the third one... I saw the first and second in the theatre and that was enough. I tried watching them with my kids, but they gave up halfway through Attack of the Clones... They were MST3K riffing all the way through... lol
The Last Jedi makes me feel sick when I think about it. I haven't been able to bring myself to see it again and don't even care about the characters anymore.

Despite their numerous faults, I still really enjoy ep1-3. TLJ is the only Star Wars film I actually dislike.

Deep Rising,I like it but it bombed at the box office so no sequel was made, the ending leaves you wanting to see the thing/creature in the the forest.

I just watched Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
There were things I liked, such as the whole volcano scene (from the trailer), but while it tried to go narratively down a slightly different route than the rast, a whole bunch of the movie felt like by-the-numbers action and my interest dipped until the very end. It's a pity they didn't take the last 2 minutes of the movie and use that as the concept for the last 30 minutes, cutting out some of the fluff in the middle.
So, it was OK, but nothing really special. It's down there with JP3.

Went to see Hereditary with some friends and I loved it. I didn't think it was really scary though. More of an atmospheric supernatural thriller rather than a horror. It had beautiful cinematography and amazing sets and camerawork. If you like movies like Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist than definitely check it out. I can't wait to watch it again actually

Thor Ragnarok, on Netflix, over the course of two evenings. I think it might be my favorite MCU film at this point. I really appreciate it when they go lighter and balance things with humor. But I also wouldn't want that to be their only approach. I also liked Winter Soldier and Civil War, and they were darker, more serious films. Flawed in places, but still good.

Ragnarok is tied for for my second fave Marvel movie, endlessly quotable, SUPER fun. #1 Infinity War #2 Thor: Ragnarok/Avengers 1/Black Panther #3Civil War/Winter Soldier This weekend in honor of the Weekend of the Dead in Monroville I watched Dawn of the Dead (1978), and followed it with a good chunk of the documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th.

I watched The Disaster Artist on Amazon Prime last night, and while it was pretty damn funny, I didn't really think it was all that groundbreaking. I guess as a pretty avid "fan" of The Room, I was hoping for a little bit more in the way of a documentary style film creation that gave us more insight of the world of Tommy Wiseau... but really it was just stuff I already knew.
Still, worth a watch if you love/hate the original movie, lol...

Never saw The Room. Seems like it’s impossible to find, unless you buy it...which I’m not gonna do.
