Hello all... just found this forum today and was delighted I did. However, it has turned out to be an expensive visit, as I've just paid for an Analogue Duo (as if I really need another console!?), it is just what I've been looking for, and excited for it to arrive hopefully in the not too long.
I was a collector of NEC TurboGrafx while I lived in the US, between 1988 and 1994. My wife worked at NEC near Chicago at the time, and I was able to get all of the games and the accessories for a staff discount at the time... got quite a collection - but when I returned to the UK and not being able to hook up to an NTSC TV when I got back, I gave most of the games and my console to my friends young kids.
However - I did keep my beloved (at the time) TurboExpress. To be honest I quickly forgot I had it when I went through various moves after I returned to the UK, and only recently (after watching a Youtube of a guy repairing one - Cap replacement)... thought... where's mine? Got it out today and delighted to say it still works after not being touched for 25 years at least. Some pics of it here - hoped this forum would be interested to see:
On the repair video I mentioned earlier - I noticed an add-on card in that particular TurboExpress, and after some googling found various cards that support the ability to load your games onto an SD card. I ordered one... but unfortunately cant't get it to work. It wasn't expensive, but the ad did say it supported the TurboExpress. Just curious if this community knows anything about the device I bough and if it can work with my TurboExpress. Here is a pic of the device:
Thanks for your interest, and any advice you can offer.
