This is being dubbed as the true sequel to shadowgate and not the TG16 version for this kickstarter.Note this is being worked on by it's original creators.

My first, and really only Shadowgate was the Turbo game. One of my favorite games if all time. Sounds like this game will make the Turbo game non cannon unfortunately. I'd love some sort of updated version of the original Beyond Shadowgate.

I'd love some sort of updated version of the original Beyond Shadowgate. Yeah it's title has created brand name confusion between the tg16 original and this 8-bit style sequel.

True, although, I wonder if I'm being optimistic and thinking that it might actually help people to get interested in the Turbob. People that were aware of the very original game but weren't aware of the Turbo and the original sequel. They Google and end up stumbling upon the original Beyond Shadowgate and learn about the PCE. Hopefully people that are in the programming and such, maybe get some more Homebrew as that is always my hope.

They had an entire new audience when it was released on the Wii Virtual Console a while ago. That was likely the widest audience the game ever had. Regardless, I'm totally miffed at this rebranding of the "Beyond" Shadowgate name and likely won't support the new one. I prefer the action style/point and click game and it's my favorite of the series. I get that ICOM went "rogue" and made the game without the original creators, but who cares. It should be acknowledged and be a part of the lore. I mean heck, if Shadowgate 64 is cannon (and isn't very fun) then why not the Turbo Duo classic?
