Oh is that the SNES version ?
I saw references to this translation, but the game is on so many platforms that I'm surprised they didn't make it more clear which version/machine it was on.

Not exactly my kind of game, however, what are the odds they'll tackle the pce version next? Just like what was done with Sorcery Saga.

I doubt they'll also translate the PC Engine CD version, as it's not the best anyway. Either the PS1 or Saturn releases would give a much better experience in my opinion. But whatever, I know next to nothing about about this so I shouldn't spout too much bullshit lol

While I’m not a massive fan I did play this game a bit over the years. I’ve played all three versions. I honestly do think the PCE version is the “real” Tokimemo. I prefer the way the lower res graphics all match everything and of course Force Gear.

I agree, it's the version I've played the most as well over the years. Besides it's the original version and not really any worse than the ever popular PS1 version, which mainly just has some new mini-games and new audio etc. I think the PS1 version is the most popular mainly because it was the most popular platform the game was released on, and which is why the sequel came on it.
But it was seriously about time someone actually finished that cursed SFC translation project.
I think (and I hope someone can confirm this) only the Super Nintendo version is called tree of legends Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de Yup, the PCE version is just called "Tokimeki Memorial" while the PS1 version got the "Forever with You" subtitle and the SFC version (which was curiously released after the PS1 version) got the "Densetsu no Ki no Shita de" subtitle (which means "Under the Legendary Tree"). They all follow the exact same story though, the legendary tree on the outskirts of the Kirameki schoolyard exists in all versions of the game and is a central plot point. There's also a GBC version split into two carts (as popularized by Pokemon at the time). I haven't played that one but I assume it's the same story again.
