Dragon Spirit - when I received my PC Engine in Christmas 1989 this was the first (of 10) games my dad showed me. As a 9yr old who was used to my C64 and tape games I cannot emphasise how much it blew me away. The incredible detailed artwork, the credit card sized HuCards, the instant loading, the console itself, the graphics and music… It screamed state of the art and the future! So it’s probably for all nostalgic reasons for me. But I still love this game and return to it often. I remember my Dad was much better than me and we used to watch him try and tackle the end of level boss on Area 1 but we’re genuinely crapping ourselves!! Needless to say I stopped wanting a NES or Master System!

This is a tough one for me.
I've always liked Dragon Spirit ever since playing it ages ago, but the game slaughters me at every possible opportunity. Cyber Core is one of those games I missed completely way back when, but I got a copy late last year, and admittedly, I haven't put much time into yet. I did like what I played, though.
So... um... I guess I'll just choose Dragon Saber, because I like that better than both of them.

I can get through the first six levels and bosses easy, but the tight hallways are a challenge for me in the last two levels. Those might be manageable if not for the minuses mixed in with the power-ups that all float toward you. Getting one can kill your run as you need speed to avoid the last boss' boomerang attack. And, preferentially, small size to get through the spears at the end. Maybe this is already known, but one trick I learned by accident is that ground enemies won't throw projectiles if you occupy the same space as them. You can fly over them all you need and you will not have to worry about them hurting you, as long as you're directly above them.
