The new version of the pico-sdk (v1.3.0) has just been released, so now I can release the designs for the PCE Mouse adapter I was building earlier this year. The board design is minimal and lacks a case - and I'm looking into other board options - but this does the job for now. At least for now, it seems to fit together with the earlier Memory Base 128 design I made (although that one has a much more "product-like" appearance), so I am putting them into the same GitHub repository: github.com/dshadoff/PC_Engine_RP2040_ProjectsI have also provided comments on how this works, in case anybody is interested in that. Note: Assembler programmers might be interested in looking further into the RP2040's PIO assembler capabilities... it's diabolical.

So very cool!
Did you ever try this with the mouse/joypad code that I wrote (and posted here, I think) a couple of years ago?

Yes, thanks again for that ! It gave a sense of the tolerances of how the device needed to interpret and respond to the host. The adapter is of course designed to work with existing games too.
I may need to implement an “aspect ratio” of sorts; this seems to be a little more sensitive kn the horizontal axis than the vertical... plus extra buttons like a middle button could swap left/right buttons to compensate for lefties or for the odd implementation of Lemmings... and maybe the scroll wheel could adjust sensitivity... just some thoughts running around in my head

This is fantastic! I have both the mouse and a Save-kun already but I'm pleased that repros now are made.

I've also added the PC-FX Mouse adapter this evening.
No pictures for either of them at the moment; this will need to wait until at least the weekend.
