I suppose I'm about 5 years late to the party, but I was thinking about making a dev cart with tons of RAM, and the flash ROM copies itself to RAM at startup, and where there's lots of RAM available for developer use during the debug process.
...And then I realized that the specs I was envisioning were nearly identical to Tailchao's "CD Stupid Card 4.0" from 2015, which I completely missed out on.
I would probably submit my own fabrication request, but it looks like the EPM7032LC44 is no longer available from the usual suspects, and a couple of tricks are needed with the SRAM's pins due to the way the layout is set up...
If nobody is willing to part with theirs, I might design a slightly updated version using a 3.3V CPLD with 5V-tolerant inputs, but it would save me a bunch of time if I could just procure one that already exists.
tailchao : let me know if you have a spare or two...

I just checked my prototype drawer and have two extras, willing to part with either or both. I'll make sure they're updated to the latest System Card patch and run them through the manufacturing tests over the weekend.
If nobody else wants to toss theirs, send over a PM and we can work something out. I like trading for other assorted e-waste.

Also looking for one, TailChao, do you still have one left?

AmigoMexicano, how were you planning to use it ? For game programming, do you have one for sale?

I don't have one for sale, but its use is actually very specific... and not necessarily very helpful for game programming at the present time.
That is to say, its memory map is effectively the same as a Super CD system card plus a memory-banking system that doesn't exist on any other hardware. With no other hardware and only a handful of cards, this is not a realistic target hardware platform; I'm not aware of tools that take advantage of the additional memory either, so it's a pretty specific use case even among developers.
This is why I'm asking you how you were planning to use it; I was hoping for some more specifics about why this specific piece of hardware is your goal.
I am looking into making a similar card, but with a flat (non-banked) memory map, and using the extra memory to store a monitor program and temporary storage surrounding its operations.

Interesting, thanks for the info.
I still want one, tho. Thanks again!

I still want one, tho. Thanks again! If you're just looking at programming on the PC Engine, may I ask what makes you prefer the CD Stupid Card over the Turbo Everdrive 2?

Guys, if TailChao has one to spare, does it actually matter why they want one? Shouldn't these questions come AFTER TailChao weighs in on whether getting one is even an option? Sometimes people want something specific because that's specifically what they want.

Also, I think I came off a little direct. I'm sorry. What I mean is, I think it's great everyone wants to help make sure someone gets exactly what they need and not something different, but it might also be nice if we found a way to help people without giving them the third degree in the process. I think Dave's inquiry covered things pretty well.
That said, I am curious what you have in mind, AmigoMexicano. The community has a lot of hobbyist programmers and dabblers, but also a lot of stalled projects. If there's anything folks can do to help, we've got a forum area for that. Good luck!

The reason I asked in the first place was because I got the last he had (one for me and one for a friend). But as I say, I am looking at developing something very similar, and want to understand other peoples' use cases. We can move the discussion to "Personal Projects" or "Homebrew Development"... EDIT: I've created a thread here: pcengine.proboards.com/thread/947/cd-development-card

Sorry I missed this, been off the forums. There's only one CD-Stupid Card left, and this is also the only System Card I own. So I can't part with it If you're interested in using the card for software development, elmer's suggestion of switching to a Turbo Everdrive 2 is a good alternative. The feature set isn't 100% identical - but is comparable and has the added perks of SD Card support and a debug interface.
