While it's not something I'm currently interested in, it's definitely an interesting product. The fact that they were able to put it in a cartridge, which means it'll work on systems that wouldn't normally be able to connect to a Sega CD, is very cool. If I had a Nomad I'd probably be pretty tempted.

I am interested in this, I actually loved the Sega CD but never built up my personal collection. Back in the day I did a console swap with my buddy where he took my duo and games and I played his Sega CD for a few months, so I played Snatcher (which I'm dying for a legal and affordable way to replay the Sega CD version of this), Cobra the Space Adventure, Popful Mail and a bunch of other great games back then. Now they're too pricey to acquire. I currently own Sonic CD, and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, as well as Urusei Yatsura: Dear My Friends and Ranma 1/2 on Mega CD, but that's it. Not sure it would be worth it to me since I want to stay 100% legal and would only rip games I own.

I wouldn't expect games such as snatcher to ever be released again since, konami likes to sit on there ips.Beside the point being even with care discs based add-ons are prone to breaking down with moving parts and all.If you can't fix it or find a replacement then you're pretty much screwed.I see the mega-sd as being a great alternative for playing sega-cd games on original hardware. If you want a review mylifeingaming has one.

No expectations here about a re-release of Snatcher, but that would be great if one did come out. I'd be first in line to buy it on any digital store. The Mega SD would be my choice if I were to invest in Sega CD stuff, even if I have a lot of nostalgia for the clunky original version of the Sega CD that I once borrowed from my buddy. I might go for it one day, plenty of other games at reasonable prices that I'd love to play again! Road Avenger, Silpheed, Sol Feace come to mind...
