Keith Courage. The sound and the dazzling colors drew me in. I had to use all of my savings from my summer job to buy a TG just to play that game and it did not disappoint.

Yeah, it was probably Keith Courage for me too, but the first one that I saw that convinced me to get the console was R-Type. I was a huge fan of R-Type on the SMS and the TG16 version BLEW ME AWAY.

It was Keith Courage and Legendary Axe at a kiosk in an Electronics Boutique in Indianapolis. My jaw was on the floor. You can bet I was whining at my dad to get me one.

I don't remember exactly, but I think the first game I saw running was Bikkuriman World. I had no idea what I was seeing at the time. I vaguely remember seeing Dungeon Explorer in those early days as well.
However, the game that convinced me I wanted the system was Dragon Spirit. It was one of my favs in the arcade back then. That was probably the first game I played on the system, but only for maybe a minute or two.

Gunhed for me too, way back in 1989. It was at that moment I became a hardcore gamer.

I am tempted to say Blazing Lazers, but I really can't remember. I probably saw a commercial for the system before seeing a store kiosk, anyway.

Speaking of Keith Courage. Those gun-headed dudes stick out the most in my memory. That kicked off my love of Turbo right then and there. My genesis as it were.
*so many puns. So little time*

I had never seen a game running before I bought my TG16; I had only seen ads in magazines. That was enough to make me want one.

Neon plaza. Downtown Montreal. Across from the arcade was an old EB electronics and their console was running Fighting street for a few weeks.

Ys: Book I&II on the Wii Virtual Console. I was impressed. This was already 8 or so years ago. It was my brother's and he never beat the game. Years later I guess I'd have to one-up him and spend 8x more just to beat it ON REEL HARD WEAR.

In my actual game set up it was Keith Courage, lol. However what got me hooked was the commercials during "Video Power". I distinctly remember Ninja Spirit and Legendary Axe looking SO AMAZINGLY badass!! I wanted to throw my Tandy CoCo out a window and get that ASAP!!
