I saw this on romhacking.net recently, and while it's not really my cup of tea, it's likely that somebody here would appreciate it. Something distinctive about this translation, is that it doesn't just need a patch to the game disc, it also makes use of a System Card patch that I created a few years ago, to allow tall-but-narrow ASCII characters to be used by an existing print function, in order to simplify the memory usage of the patch. www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=11157.0

Sweet! Does this mean it wouldn't work on real hardware? I would have to have a physical copy of some sort of the patched system card?

The system card hack was originally made for use with emulation, but if you have a Duo and a TurboEverdrive (original one should suffice), the patched ROM ought to be able to be loaded as a ROM, because the additional RAM is internal to the Duo.

I don't have an everdrive, but, I'm waiting for my Analogue Duo. I'm sure it'll be hacked at some point, but, if not, might need to grab an everdrive. I know the Analogue Duo plays real Hucards and CDs, but I want to say it can run roms and iso's, but don't quote me on that.

Wasn't there a partial Might and Magic one translation you were working on once upon a time?

Very cool! Wasn't there a partial Might and Magic one translation you were working on once upon a time? No, I never did anything on that game… Huh, I can't remember who did it then. Years ago Bernie from the old forums sent me a disc with a partial might and magic 1 translation done on it and I swear he said the translation work was done by one of the regulars there. My mistake. Anyways, I'm trying to install the translation font patch from your git hub to a CD bios and when I click the IPS file using Lunar IPS the program says that it's not an IPS file even though when I select to view the file properties, it says (.IPS)

About time really, love how we are still getting translations to PCE games even in the 2020s.

Well, a lot of the NES, SNES, Genesis, and PS1 stuff has been looked at, so translators need more places to look for manageable projects. The PCE has a lot of solid offerings, so that's a good place to look.

Anyone else able to install the IPS file to the CD bios? I'm still getting (this is not a IPS file error). I tried downloading the Ips file with both chrome and Firefox. Same problem.

I just figured it out. I guess I needed to hit "RAW" to download the file instead of just selecting "save file as" in my browser. Thanks
I can confirm that this works with both the V1 and V2 everdrives.
Obviously a V1 everdrive would require a DUO or super cd-rom2 CD drive since they have the super system card built in whereas the V2 everdrive will work with those plus a tg16 CD or pce CD setup.
