It doesn't look like anything official at all. It wouldn't have been called a PC-Duo, for one.

The PC Duo is a known thing, believe it or not.

There was a time when we talked about it on the old forum. It only came up for the first time like five years ago so I was a bit confused and skeptical at first. After the total failure of the TG-16 and Turbo Duo they were actually considering another round of misery.

More info, I guess it's confirmed real now. I asked him more about it and he said it plays US games so it's not just a Duo-R with different silkscreen.

I don’t know who that guy is who named himself after a fictional character or what his word is worth but it’s real. This all came up on the old forum. They had to have a plan in case they actually managed to sell through the black Duos which were out of production soon after the US ones were made. In reality the white Duos and the PC FX would be introduced, discontinued, and fully sell out before TZD got rid of the last of the US Duos. It took...nearly 20 years to sell them all, I think. What a hit! America loves the Turbo!

That’s the Twitter handle of Jonathan Brandstetter. He would know.

I believe he ran TTi. He was in an executive position, at the least.

Brandstetter was one of the US NEC folks who worked on the TG16, was the “model”, if you will, for Johnny Turbo, and also worked with TTi later. He also periodically involved himself with Hudson stuff in later years. So yeah, he would know about the PC Duo.

Johnny Turbo and his live-in boyfriend are real people. Both appear in the credits of Bonk 3 CD. youtu.be/448T5_uBEo4
