Slowly working through the new FF14 expansion. Definitely the best content in the game up to this point, and one of the best RPGs I've played period ^^

Look forward to seeing your collection. It might be slightly after Xmas as you never know how long things will take when ordering from Japan, that and they are all different sellers, here's a few to have a look at, the picture quality is garbage but I'll get some better ones for the thread.

Some great games in there I am pretty happy with the good mix of Shooters, Sports, Puzzle, Racing and Platform games, I also got one of those cart's that allows you to add .ips fan translation files to text heavy Japanese games such as Bubblegum Crash! and City Hunter making them playable now.

So not technically being "currently played" as I've since beaten it, but recently I was finding myself much enjoying Lode Runner 3D on the N64 after not liking lode runner on the nes. Or the turbografx version, for that matter. But I plan on giving that one another shot after not giving it much of a chance. Maybe the 2d versions are more action-variant than puzzle-solving, which is what I like, but I'll have to play through them a bit more to find out.

Just finished playing Ys VIII which was great. I really hope Falcom remake Books I & II for Ys X, it's about time for a new coat of paint.

After buying it when it released in 2014, and my 2nd restart, I dinally beat Tales of Hearts R. Shoddy translation aside, one of my favorite Tales games.

After clearing Super Robot Wars X (Vita) twice back to back I did the same thing with SRW V (Vita) and then bought SRW T for Switch and I’m almost done with my first play-through of that. I didn’t buy this when it came out and I couldn’t find the Premium Sound and Song version for a good price so I’m playing with the instrumental tunes for the first time in a while.
For a while this series existed on Vita and PS4 as the same thing. One was portable, one had slightly better graphics. Now that it’s on Switch you get both at once, the portability and the high fidelity.
This is the only game series I can think of that is still going for 30 years and for the most part has only gotten better. While I like Mario Odyssey alright…I still prefer the 8-bit ones. The best Yoshi game is still Yoshi’s Island. Modern KOF and Street Fighter just seem like plastic garbage to me now and most RPGs are simply too time consuming and not interesting to me anymore. Super Robot Wars is always improving. This may be feint praise since the first five years were not that hot…but really the game has almost become a perfect version of the original idea. It can be played in many different styles and difficulty levels now. The battle animations are simply the best graphics in all of modern gaming (highly opinionated statement, I understand) and anything that is boring and slow can be skipped or fast forwarded at any time. Almost every button on the controller is used for something so an experienced player will develop some serious robo smashing muscle memory. It’s easy to play though multiple times because it can be played extremely quickly. The best thing about the last three games I’ve played is that they are almost exactly the same thing. If you want a perfectly good game kicked to the curb and totally rebuilt every year you will NOT find that often with SRW. They change almost zero, which is what I want from the series.

Why on earth are they playing with that god-awful smoothing filter on? Looks absolutely hideous.
