For some reason the Mega-CD list wasn't in my post, but it's there now.

Is the Mega CD lot still available and would you ship to the UK..? Everything has been sold. The reason I don't list shipping to Europe is that a single game shipped without tracking or insurance costs $30+ CAD and can take 2 months to arrive. The cheapest method with tracking/insurance is something crazy like $120 CAD.

I've just had 6 Megadrive games ship form the US for less than that.

I did a lookup a few years ago, and found that it's actually cheaper to chip things to a USA location - and from there to subsequently ship them to the third country - than to ship them directly. ...And since then, prices have gone up dramatically.

I've just had 6 Megadrive games ship form the US for less than that. Courier companies are too difficult to deal with here and their prices are still high. Canada isn't very dense and many business locations are few and far between. The Canadian arms of these companies are poorly run and most are extremely disorganized. I've known people who worked for a few and they were run at a loss just to support the worldwide service. I've had several nightmare scenarios attempting to actually take possession of packages shipped or returned to me. They also add fake "customs" charges similar to ebay's Global Shipping Scam and then tack on a "handling" or "brokerage" fee of $35 to collect $3. So I only use Canada Post now.

They also add fake "customs" charges similar to ebay's Global Shipping Scam and then tack on a "handling" or "brokerage" fee of $35 to collect $3. UPS sucks. But it was even worse 20 years ago. They charged me $50 on a $5 collection at that time. FedEx and DHL are better, and still do this nonsense, but I can tolerate it on shipments with some actual value (i.e. $200 and up). They charge the Federal+Provincial Sales Tax (as an import tax), and add their "service charge" to it, but I've seen this escalating recently too (DHL went form $17 to $21). The Post Office will do this too if the parcel is: - apparently commercial, or - over a certain value (at their discretion), or - if you've been receiving "too many" lately (at their discretion, if they think it's business-related) But sending things is the worst. I wanted to get a quote for a 2kg box about 12" x 10" x 4" to go to Mexico via courier (so that it wouldn't magically disappear). Quote ? $200 and up.[/quote]
