As the title says, I still have this in the closet and would like to see it get a good home. The CoreGrafx II should work perfectly, but the Super CD-ROM2 is in need of repair. I have no idea what this is worth since It's been YEARS since I've looked at the market, but I don't really want to make a profit on this. I would just like to see it get a good home with someone who will repair it and give it the love it deserves. If you want to buy it to re-sell, then this is not for you. I'll dig it out of the closet and get some pictures, but from what I remember: - Cosmetically fair condition, with a bit of uniform yellowing on the CD unit.
- The CD unit has a "classic" RGB mod with the 8bin DIN conversion for the RGB, but it seems like one of the capacitors is loose (bad solder joint maybe?) so it should be re-soldered or replaced. Simple Composite out from the CoreGrafx or CD-ROM2 work fine.
- It looks like some of the capacitors have been replaced, but the sizes look funny. Maybe wrong values? Someone should just recap the entire thing.
- The CD-tray will sometimes not spin up. If you keep powering it on and pressing RUN it will eventually start a game but sometimes the audio track won't seek correctly.
- Power supply and Composite cables are not original. It has an RGB cable that looks custom made for a Framemeister (8-pin din to mini-din, which plugs right into the front of a FrameMeister).
- Comes with a copy of Ys IV and one or two Avenue Pad 6s (if I can find them).
- Located in Japan, so shipping won't be cheap to some places.
All of the issues are likely resolvable with a full recap of the CD unit.

I'm not a pricing expert, but I've been watching Core II (and Super CD-ROM) on YAJ for a spell now, and Cores seems to go for 40-60, add more for cables, pads, power. Super CD-ROMs look like they go for $100 easy, more if fully repaired and have that damn little power plug! Mind you this is all in JP, so add shipping for folks out of country.
I miss the days of $20 Cores w/ pad...but I guess interest has heightened now that the Mini is out (not like Kanye did anything to bring attention to it)
OP -> I'd be interested in your offer but it's bad timing for me...I'm one of those folks that got shut down with the "current situation".

Thanks for the info. Honestly I don't even want that much for it, as long as it gets a good home with someone who can recap the CD unit. Definitely agree that this is the worst time tob sell, attbut I've it's also the first time I had free time to dig this out of storage 😁 I've attached a few shitty pictures but I'm happy to take more.

Sorry about the quality. I'm using a $100 Android at the moment. I can get some decent pics with a real camera if anyone would like to see some better quality ones. Attachments:

Do you still have this? I have a Super CD-ROM² cap kit on hand that's getting to be a few years old and I had better throw it into something before I need to replace the caps in my unused cap kit. I have neither a CoreGrafx II nor a Super CD-ROM² in my collection and I'd very much like to get some experience servicing them.
