Lets see 'em. Post some photos of PCE/TG16 games you've purchased. I'll start... I went to Akihabara during my lunch break today and decided to treat myself to a belayed Christmas present. Both have been on my wish list for a long time. Can't wait to play them this weekend. So what games have you bought recently.

1st PCE/TG nab in quite sometime. So glad to have finally replaced one of the most fun games on the system (at a great price to).

Star Parodier! Such a great game! Where else do you get to play as a PC-Engine. Great purchase!

Yeah it's not perfect some games have shimmer or input delay but M2 came close enough in emulation.

Went back to Akihabara today to try and dwindle down my hopelessly long wish list. This is what I ended up with. For those interested, I'll add the prices so you can get some gauge of where prices are in Tokyo right now. I shopped around to find the best prices without ending up with junk. Darius Plus: ¥2970. The New Zealand Story: ¥2750. (Been wanting this one for aaaaages and finally found a boxed version). R-Type I: ¥1540. R-Type II: ¥1500. Victory Run: ¥550.

Don't normally do this, but since I had the picture handy: These came yesterday. Really happy with the condition. I only had time to play about five minutes each, but they both worked first try, no jiggling or reinserting required. I have vague memories of playing the Game Boy version of Chase H.Q. at a relative's house in the late '80s or early '90s, so I've wanted my own copy of the game I could sit down with for a while. The sequel seems pretty good from what I tried, too, so I'm hoping to have some fun with these.

Very nice! I loved played them in the arcades as a kid! It was such a cool concept as it really matched the type of action movies we saw coming out of Hollywood at the time. I've got both titles on my wish list and I even saw more than a few copies around town yesterday. I hope to be able to buy of them at some point.

Yeah, I got lucky and ran across a bundle on Mercari. I had to go with expensive shipping thanks to the pandemic, though, so it wasn't as good a deal as it would ordinarily be. Still, they were clearly taken care of and it was something I'd wanted to play for a while, so I think I did okay.

Still, they were clearly taken care of and it was something I'd wanted to play for a while, so I think I did okay. Good job! Mercari is great, if you can get lucky. I found it's almost impossible to get a shot at the best deals there. Must be some major players active there, running some scripted software that snap up anything and everything below a certain threshold. I actually did a comparison between Mercari, Yahoo! and eBay a while ago. Comparing sold prices (keeping the various levels of quality/state in mind) on a whole bunch of PCE titles. Mercari had the best prices, followed by Yahoo!, with eBay being the most expensive by far (no surprise there). So I use the Mercari 'sold' prices as a benchmark for when I go shopping in brick & mortar stores. Just to make sure I don't over-pay. And yes... shipping from Japan has been rather messed up since the pandemic started. For a while there was no outbound mail at all. It's picked up again now though, but it can still be slow, even with more expedient services.

I want to buy some PCE stuff, but it's easier to avoid ebay. So, I try to avoid ebay.

This a solid game. I like it. I should mention it in the five player thread.
