Good idea... will bug 'im. So just to give a little update or two or twenty... the guys have been able to ship out about 130 copies so far, so plenty of peeps should be getting theirs very, very soon. Also, an update for the PC version... looks like I will be handling it personally. Unsurprisingly, it looks like there's been some mishaps in that arena as well (OOOH SHOCKER!) so we'll go with the original plan. Saru wanted to have it outsourced because I was so burned out, but I've since recovered from that burnout and will once again lead the charge, heh. Furthermore, there is someone who has shown interest in a Vita conversion as well, it seems. The PC version is supposed to be the base source code for all other conversions, and since it's been yet another one of the production hurdles thus far, we're gonna rein in that beast ourselves. There are certain advantages of having the game's original coder handle conversions, so we might as well take advantage of that. Sounds awesome! Take care of yourself, though. No more burnout. We need you healthy for Neutopia III. On a side note, I spent about 2 hours last night playing Yuki and it's FANTASTIC! I wasn't able to beat the level after the Lords of Thunder level, but I think that was the beer catching up to be. I'm going to be hitting that game again hard tonight. I need to get my streaming stuff out for a Blazing Lazers playthrough soon, so when that's out, I'll play through Yuki as well. Rover, I'm really impressed with every aspect of FX-Unit Yuki. Technically it's amazing. Excellent work. The graphics are fantastic; the sprite work, backgrounds and cut-scenes are all lovely. And that soundtrack. Heaven. I paused the game on the Bonk level just to enjoy that tune for awhile. But I love the whole soundtrack.

I don't know the sales figures; Saru might know. The PC conversion is coming along nicely now. It's a bit different than doing the PCE build, heh. Gotta do a lot of things manually on the PC build that HuC and the PCE hardware handles automatically. The PC prototype is about 90% functional at this point and I may actually be able to wrap up the finished product by the end of May, considering how much of the code was directly portable. Most of the content had to be converted, but that wasn't a difficult task in the slightest. The PC build music is all in FLAC format, so it hasn't lost the crispness of the CD audio tracks in the slightest, and the ADPCM sound effects from the PCE build sound a lot more clear here, with no sample dropping. The PC build's audio just seems to have more punch to it so far. All of the PSG samples from the PCE build are also still present in the PC build. There may be some minor mapping changes in a couple of the levels but nothing too crazy.

I got my copy yesterday and played through on easy. First of all, I just want to say that the game is amazing. Saru and Rover and everyone else who worked on this deserve high praise for creating arguably the best Turbo/PCE homebrew yet. The presentation is outstanding, each level is unique and has its own gorgeous art direction. The Lords of Thunder homage on its own is a massive technical achievement that I never thought I'd see in a homebrew for this system. And of course, the soundtrack needs no introduction by this point. It's perfect. The gameplay is fast, fluid, and fun. Yuki controls very responsively, and I never had an issue where the controls were the reason I died. I do have a few complaints, though. I experienced a couple sound glitches where the music cut out and wouldn't return until the track looped. The stage design was often very simple, with few surprises beyond the initial level theme. Also, the "Zapman" stage was horrible to play. It was the only time where I actually stopped having fun. It was frustratingly difficult to the point where I was only making progress by cheesing the charge shot and avoiding combat when possible. At least the graphics were gorgeous, although that city in the background towards the end looked very familiar... I still need to replay the game on Normal, though, because damn it, it's one of THOSE games! Personal gripes aside, congratulations to the team, and thank you so much for an awesome new game!

The Zapman stage was made hard on purpose; that was actually the intention. It is supposed to represent a game that is early and buggy, complete with all of the technical and balancing issues often present in early builds of many games. It is loaded with graphical glitches, slowdown, and rather unfair gameplay design. It's the only stage in the game that was specifically designed to be an asshole.

Got my copy a few days ago... Just got a chance to play through it.
It's an awesome fucking game, and a masterclass in homebrew development IMO... At least for the PCE. I love it. It is genuinely fun. Looks great, sounds great, plays great, and the story/dialogue is humorous.
I got my ass kicked on zapman stage though. Got frustrated and quit... But I'll be bach! 😂

The only bug I encountered was on the castlevampire-z stage. There were a couple of times where the hit detection flaked out. My sword would go through the enemy, but it didn't register as a hit. I think there was once where I obviously should have been hit, but it didn't register.

I ran into a bug a couple of nights ago where I defeated the bat mini-boss while it was off-screen and the game wouldn't progress from there. I had to restart the game.

I did a complete playthrough of the game using only 2 lives. No save states, no hacks, no bullshit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPMgDT5u1jAThis spoils a lot of the game but if you're stuck on a certain part, it can show you how to pass it.

Thanks for all your hard work, guys. I'm not very far in yet but certainly loving the sweet music and visuals. My only real gripe so far is just the blurry-ness in the cutscenes, but I understand why they are the way they are.
