imgur.com/p8r6VLZHi, I have a white PC Engine that was imported to the UK and RGB modded by Console concepts in the nineties. I bought it on eBay about ten years ago and it has always been very dirty and yellowed. I have taken it apart to clean and to bleach the case, It looks great now but I was wondering if the RGB mod is any good? Is it safe? Have things moved on since it was done? The scart cable is hardwired and exits via the selector switch on the side of the console. I have an RGB booster cable and I get a good image but I was wondering if I could get a better image using a device that connects to the back of the console. Any advice would be great!

As for the work, the soldering is decent enough. The wire is a little on the thick side, but that's not a problem. You say the scart cable is hard wired? Usually, best practice is to include a small module called an RGB amp. If you get an external device, it will have this circuitry, and you should see an improvement if there is currently no amp.

Thanks for the reply. I have a separate extension scart cable which includes an rgb amp, the colours in particular are much better using it. It looks like the mod is okay then?
