PSO2 is finally coming to the u.s but the catch is just pc&xbox currently. While i think it's great it will have a official release here.I do not own a xbox-one and my pc is old at this point,i don't know if it can even run the game.I'm also kind of bitter over this announcement, since PSO2 did get a PS4 release a few years ago yet sega refuses to give it a chance for the u.s.Any ways here's the trailer that was shown this past E3.

If you have great nostalgia for the original dreamcast release you might be disappointed with this one. It's nothing like the original.
It feels like a mid 90's SEGA arcade game with incredibly fast action on screen. Some of the monster movements seem a little goofy and amatuerish but still I can't wait to give a few years of my life in this. You never know although Microsoft are supporting SEGA in bringing this to the west it seems like they will allow SEGA to bring it out on other platforms because according to Phil Spencer head of XBOX in an interview he said he would like to turn it into a franchise probably like Minecraft and get it released on everything.

PSO2 had a release for switch in japan via streaming and for PS4 a physical copy.If phil spencer wants,PSO2 on every thing he needs to encourage sega to give those ones a chance as well for the u.s.

I saw this a while back. A couple years ago I played on the Japanese servers, but it never grabbed me the same way that PSO1 did. Maybe I should give it another try? Love the Phantasy Star series. I started playing through PS1 on switch with the Sega Ages release. Hope they do one of those with QoL improvements for Phantasy Star II, a game which I never finished but always wanted to. In terms of style I think it's my favorite, particularly in the music.

To everyone that got the message that asked to redeem a code, this is how to resolve: - Using the Manage button, unenroll from the beta. - Re-launch the Xbox Insider app and rejoin the beta. It will take a minute, but once you are accepted you will be able to see it in the store and download.

So is this a new game or a 15 year old game?
With Japanese stuff lately, frankly, it’s been hard to tell.

According to Wikipedia, the Japanese launch of PSO2 was in 2012, so it's not thet "new", but not 15 years old either. You may have confused it with PSO Episode 2, which was a part of PSO1. But yeah it is really confusing.

Yes, that is confusing. Also most Japanese games still look like they’re running on PS2.

Yup it's a 8+ year old pc mmo game that was suppose to get a western translation many years ago but only now has it been given a new lease of life.
From the closed beta a few weeks back
