Don't hear a lot of news about that project these days. I wish there was a dedicated site or sticky to it. I'm greatly looking forward to finally being able to play those games properly.

Someone does, but that someone also has young children and a day job and stuff and doesn’t really owe us anything. Be chill.

edit: the thing that strikes me as odd for the xanadu translations is, well, they're done no? that's the only thing that puzzles me. is this like that samurai shodown rpg situation from years back where the guy just took his complete translation, showed a complete youtube playthrough of it and told everyone to fuck off borat style? (you'll never get this!) There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for an update ... but bumping the request kinda gets into the "Are we there, yet?" territory. If we had had anything interesting to say, we would have said it. SamIAm has one-heck-of-a-lot going on in REAL LIFE (tm), and he has very, very little spare time to work on getting the dialog recordings finished (no, they're still not finished). I've spent the last five months trying to help organize one of the volunteer departments at Burning Man, and I'm likely to be busy with that for at-least the next month (and probably longer). Until Sam has finished getting the actors' recordings, and getting them to the quality that he wants, we can't pass the whole thing on to someone else for post-processing, and so complete the dub. Until the dub is done, I can't start work on synching the cutscene timings to the new audio. So "no", we're definitely not done and sitting on a completed game just to piss people off for some weird-ass reason (have you been listening to NightWolve's paranoid rants again?). Apart from that ... "yes" it is rather frustrating to have been sitting on a 99%-completed game (excluding the dub) for over two years now.

well thank you for the update.
I've never heard any rants from Nightwolve, we did talk about xanadu once and the only thing I remember him saying was that he hoped it was going well and he was looking forward to seeing it.
the pc engine scene is sadly quiet most of the time, I would just like to see it get a bit more lively. more discussions and whatnot, maybe get more people interested. that isn't going to happen by being afraid to ask about things and discuss things even if they aren't finished.

I'm really hoping the mini will help liven up the Turbo scene and get more people interested in translating games and hacking and such.

agreed. I love the pc engine. anything, or anyone that helps bring attention to it and the fantastic library of games that are sadly out of reach for most of us in the west is a good thing.
