I don't get why the problem happens. From a google search, it looks like the way CD manufacturers squeezed 700 MB into a CD-R was to add more space for data near the edge of the disc. You'd think that if the original image was meant for a 650 MB disc, that extra space would be unused so it wouldn't even try to be read.

Hey guys, ruinatokyo from PCEFX. I was translating the PC-FX tech docs along with sam and elmer for awhile but life got busy. I seem to get excited about the PC-FX for half a year every 3 years or so.
So now I have dug the PC-FX out of storage and am back to playing Power Dolls, love this one. Giving it a marathon with the Power Dolls anime laserdiscs, posters, etc.
I got cheap-killed by a boss in Miraculum and rage-quit and sold it. Only now I have the bug and want to re-buy it but the price tripled. These collectors.......
