Proper review on the 8bit guy Also proper instructions on how to use the magic knob of adjustment if your console's been modded a little wonky (or you're just dissatisfied with the default balancing). I got a hold of Joe and he said they would love to do the game on their show but they don't have a 7800. Plus he said they try to shows with a theme to them and weren't sure when/how they could fit it in. Sorry guys. Worth a try. No worries, and thanks for asking him. Game will still be around if they change their mind later on. Should probably pick a console they actually have access to if I do another one of these new-old things... like the 3DO. Ah, but anyway here's the new photos from the Taco Tuesday update on AtariAge. After the delay we promised one new thing every week until the cartridges ship, but there shouldn't be too many more of these.

I never grew up that far back in time, but did the 7800 even have graphics this good? Wow! On my steam wishlist, I'll have to buy it once i burn through some more of my backlog

On my steam wishlist, I'll have to buy it once i burn through some more of my backlog The video I've seen of it makes it the nicest looking sprite work in a 7800 game, Ball Blazer does have a nice pseudo 3D effect and an added sound-chip though.

The game looks amazing. This will give me a reason to fire up my 7800 for the first time in long while!

ALSO, do young folks even use the expression "top notch"? WHY AM I USING THIS PHRASE? ALSO: Rikki & Vikki.

You can thank the video game mags of the 90s for ingraining "top notch" into our brain cavities.
Can be substituted with: Top drawer Top sirloin Top Gun

Thanks, everyone. One thing I do want to point out is - if you're going to try the game on the actual hardware it's a good idea to invest in a controller adapter or at least the gamepads Atari made later on in the console's life. The ProLines really are as hideous as everyone says. Oh hey, remember this? I can't wait to see someone speed run this. I bet it's just ripe for that kind of treatment. It happened, at least for single player mode. Can be substituted with: Top drawer Top sirloin Top Gun Wait... ...Top Ramen?

It's all good. Congrats on the release! Is there any plans to port this to the eShop or PSN?

Congrats on the release! Is there any plans to port this to the eShop or PSN? Thanks, and yes. We're especially interested in the eShop since the Switch is kinda perfect for a couch co-op game like this. But whether or not this happens is extremely dependent upon how the game performs on Windows / Steam - and we'll need to get those numbers up significantly in the next few months.

Woah, it's been awhile! Now that I'm all caught up with the Windows version's fall update (among other things), the Atari 7800 version of Rikki & Vikki is back on sale. You can grab it now through .
Here's that tantalizing stock image again...
But wait, is something different? Yep, we're trying out some new foil labels for the remaining copies. This makes the cartridges feel like a hybrid between the Atari 7800 and early 800 designs. I've also (finally) uploaded the design for my ProSMS Adapters if you'd like a more tolerable input experience on your 7800 without the need for programming any microcontrollers like the ProNES.
Phew! Hopefully now I can spend more time with that other console.
