Hi everyone! I would like to implement some graphics for the PCE version of my little game Cross Chase which is written in C (CC65 for 6502 targets, Z88DK for Z80 targets, CMOc for 6809 targets, GCC for PC) and runs on nearly any 8-bit system.
The current version uses the standard font/tile set. It is fully playable but quite ugly. Before I start using sprites, I would like to learn how to define my own tiles.
How do I redefine the tiles? I guess I need to write into VRAM somehow. Could someone please provide a simple example (in commented Assembly with labels or C) Has anyone here any experience with coding a PCE game with CC65?

The PCE programming documents that come with Magic Kit explain this pretty clearly and should be easy to follow. Do you not have those? www.magicengine.com/mkit/download.htmlYou should also poke around HuC's basic library calls. You can see the source assembly and go from there as well.
