I spend a couple or more hours a day in the car sitting in traffic, so when I got new ride a few years back I went with a recliner on wheels:

I can't drive! Dream car is a '77 Pontiac Firebird, but it would probably handle like shit no matter what you did to it. I just like the look.

I still have the black Miata. Still have the Fit. Still have the TDI Sportwagon.
I don’t have any real RCs but I have dozens of Tamiya Mini4WD and a wood track in my basement.

Sometimes I forgot they sold the PT Cruiser outside of the US. Can you tell us what is like to drive one of those where you live?

My favourite car also the worst one I ever owned. Terrible reliability, parts were not kept in the country had to import oem from germany. Suspension not up to speed bumps everywhere, had every part of it replaced over time. Turning circle of the Bismarck, only car I could never get all the way round a mini roundabout in. Terrible mpg on congested London roads. The right hand driving position was actually very well set up. A lot of french and German cars don’t get it quite right and you sit ever so slightly angled from the steering wheel. Very enjoyable to drive on longer cruises, very comfortable.

Interesting. Here they sold them for I think 11 years because basically they had to to offset the even worse MPG of their more profitable cars. They are all over the place here in Michigan. Parts are common and cheap but fundamental reliability problems are difficult to overcome.
Here they were really popular, mainly with ladies in their 60s, for about two years and then they just kept making millions more and selling them for jack. They are mocked and ridiculed mostly.

Mine was alright apart from the suspension and mysterious eml lights that stored no codes. I’ve checked the test history ever since I sold it (back in 2006) it’s failed nearly every year or had advisories for suspension components. I remember top gear used to take the piss out of it for a bit.
