So, the final cut is going to be made tomorrow, but at this point, I've locked all the polls apart from yesterdays and todays, and there are some that aren't going through. Some are a surprise, given that they go in some cases for hundreds of dollars and are very sought after. Others are more of a disappointment to me personally, given that they're my faves. And there's actually a few on the cusp right now, that may well not make it through by tomorrow.
So here's a write-up or two of the ones that got away.
Puzznic
This is a fantastic puzzle game that I'd recommend to anyone. It has to contend for the best puzzle game on the system, along with maybe Zipang, but this is so clever. All you need to do is match blocks together to make them disappear! It sounds so simple, but goodness is it devious. The first few levels are simple enough, but as you go further, you'll need to move the blocks in an exact order, and one wrong move will trigger a sequence that leads to an impassable puzzle. Oh and it's timed. This one has always been great for GTs, as it's pick up and play, and easy to see on the small screen. Plus, it uses a password system, so when you run out of batteries, or need a break, you can pick up right where you left off.
There's also an endless "arcade mode" which is based more on survival and the acrrual of points, but that's more of a bonus. The normal puzzle mode is where the meat is. Trust me, if you see this one for about $10, grab it and thank me later. (or you know, if you have an everdrive, just play it). It's easily one of the best bang-for-your-buck titles on the system, and I think I was the only person who voted for it!
