Thread all about the golden era of import videogames in the UK.
Decided just to keep my posts on this subject all in one thread instead of starting separate threads.
A lot of this will be moved posts from the PCEFX forum.

Kick things off with this awesome post and scan from rcantor77 In the early nineties I used to buy all my PC Engine games from Dreamware (VideoGameImports.co.uk, Dream Machines or what ever you want to call them today) and spent many an hour sitting on the phone to Lee chatting about the latest PC Engine games and which ones I should buy and which ones we both enjoyed playing. My only regret of those chats was not taking Lee up when he offered me his personal Laseractive for £200... :x Anyway, at some point during that time, as a regular customer I got put on the mailing list of a home made PC Engine Magazine named PCP. I recently dug it out from my loft and wondered if anyone on here knows anything about it...who it was that created it, how many issues there were etc. I think there might have only been one issue as I also have a letter from the editor stating that they were stopping the magazine. Cheers. Here are his scans

Ooo, that Richard Gibbs is a cheeky buger! Unfortunately I bought mine from KT Consoles. I don’t suppose Keith or Bob at KT kept a list of who they sold the Fanzine too and posted the list back to Dicky Gibbs by any chance?

I don't qualify as I never bought directly. My first copy of the Gibbs fanzine I got in a trade I did, was with someone within the UK network I discussed previously. I drove (my mate drove I was too young to drive) over to this guys house on the opposite side of London, when I got there with the stack of games he was trading me he added into the trade the Gibbs fanzine and also a couple of those Complete Guide to Consoles books.
I think then what happened after being over read by me and leant to friends, the Gibbs fanzine fell apart, so I got a fresh new one from Raven Games and the new one had more content. This copy I then lost about 10 years ago.

Yeah I still got all 4 volumes of the Complete Guide to Consoles. They had loads of PC Engine coverage in them, maybe more PCE than any other console??

Richard Gibbs only gave you a 3 day window to compile a list for the colour updated version? What an odd fella, clearly.

Very nice, I need to get the red and dark blue one. Heh yeah it did seem to have its fair share of PCE coverage didn’t it. Late 80’s early 90’s CVG were great, especially to a young boy who was obsessed with arcades and consoles.
