They've just released new renders for bundled controllers. I've already commented that the Select & Run are in the wrong place on the PCE version. Would make playing Forgotten Worlds impossible.

Oh, man, that's disappointing. The Select/Run buttons really should be swapped with the turbo switches. It also looks like it's about the same shape as an Ave Pad 6, which a lot of people complain about. Luckily it looks like it'll have a standard PC Engine plug still so people will be able to use original controllers.
On a side note, I had been swapping PMs with one of the developers of this new console on that other forum, but I seem to have lost access to my PMs over there. That sucks.

They have bumped up the Start and Select equivalents on all their controllers to make room for their custom Home button.
Can Forgotten worlds be played in 6-button mode? And in 2 button mode, doesn't III act like Select?

Yeah, that kinda sucks. But I also think it's not a very good control scheme for a standard controller, so there is that.

Someone really should try to hack FW to make it 6 button compatible.

Or just let you point where you want to shoot and hold a button to keep your firing angle. Would make it an infinitely better game.

I just heard about this for the first time today in the Discord chat. Nullity had a chance to try it out and had a lot of good things to say. Hopefully it works as advertised, because if it does I will totally be getting one of these things.

Don't forget that you can use original PCE controllers if you pick up the PCE/Turbo module. I can't imagine any of us needing/wanting to use the polymega controller over an Ave 3 for Forgotten World's.

This looks really neat but yeah I echo the placement of the RUN and SELECT buttons. I've not actually visited the site since I'm afraid to look at the what it will retail for. I'm starting to get irritated by the "Classic Gaming Tax" being applied to nearly everything coming out that smells "retro."

It also looks like it's about the same shape as an Ave Pad 6, which a lot of people complain about. The main issue with the pad is the "grip" on the dpad which shreds your thumb. I've just shed the skin from a thumb blister I got from about 20 mins of street fighter several weeks ago. The pad isn't super comfortable, but the dpad is the worst part

I'm starting to get irritated by the "Classic Gaming Tax" being applied to nearly everything coming out that smells "retro." They haven't announced pricing yet, but their FAQ estimates "under $300" for the main unit and a module, and around $60/module kit. Seems like fair pricing to me, if that's what they go for.

I don't find the Avenue 6 dpad uncomfortable at all, certainly not compared to the textured SNES dpad. And I do like the look of the Polymega controller renders.

They're more than just renders. Bryan posted a pic of the first prototype on the bookface. (manufacturer messed up the buttons, btw)
