Hey kids,
Have a PCE / TG16 game that is generally not liked by the masses but you like anyway? Maybe you are a closet fan?
I'll go first. Although not a game. I think Magical Dinosaur Tour is amazing. I spent hours and hours playing that damn, game?
What was or is your guilty pleasure?

I would probably say the original Schbibin Man. I get the feeling a lot of people think it's a bit junky, but it was one of my earlier games and I played it a lot. I still mantain the core game design is really sound and it's great fun once you've learned the enemy patterns and how best to navigate the map for a quick win. Music is cool too.

I like Schbibbin man 2 and Zero (snes), but I really have a hard time getting into the first one. Any tips for later levels?
My guilty pleasure game is Bravoman. The translation makes the game more amusing but I do appreciate the boss variety and the unique stretching mechanics. Bravoman also takes over an hour to play through so it has a decent length.

It's been a while since I played, but be aware you don't have to complete every stage in Schbibin Man. I think you do the first 3 around the start, then head up and across, at one point make sure you can purchase the upgraded schbibins from the professor.

Daichi Kun Crisis: What a time-wasting game! I often end up playing it.

Night Creatures is enjoyable and satisfying to play through once you figure it out. It's even more enjoyable figuring it out for the first time. I did so on a dare, after someone insisted that it was impossible. It still means more to me now than so many other boring Turbo games.

I like Puzzle Boy. It's stupidly basic, but the music never gets old to me, and I really enjoy the puzzles.

Hate to say it but the nostalgia of my youth definitely encourages me to pop in Tail Spin and Pac-Land now and then. I hate them, but love them, because they were two of the about 8 games I had back when with my turbo. I never beat either, so I am guilty about that as well.

It gets flack because not only its not like regular Pac-Man. The controls are just like Konami's Track & Field. The arcade cabinet had no joystick it was all buttons. Once you get used to the wonky control scheme you'll have a ball

I've always enjoyed Pac-Land. Even though the aesthetic weren't cutting edge when the arcade arrived in my hometown, it was a well executed concept and I liked the button-based gameplay.
The Turbo version is great too, but it's weird that only one stage has parallax.

It would've been nice if Pac-Land had a graphical facelift or one or two extra level designs to make things a little more fresh. As is, it's still a fun game. I can beat the first five stages on one continue, it really ramps up by stage 6. The pro levels could've been more interesting, the main change is that ghosts are impossibly fast.
Anyone play Pac in Time on the snes or genny? I like the art style and the slight exploration aspect, but the controls are horrifically clumsy and the levels take forever to get through. I gave up by the instant kill lava level.

To be honest, I'm too old to have "guilty pleasures". I like what I like and don't need to feel bad about it. I'll proudly play China Warrior while listening to REO Speedwagon.

Impossamole... oh wait that game is crap. I would have to say Final Lap Twin. I'm a sucker for racing games and that one is certainly a different approach to one. I also agree with Lurkster on Bravoman as well.
