It looks like it could be fun and is more interesting now than the original pitch, but retro graphics turn me off and a 32-bit level game in widescreen with faux Famicom aesthetics is the kind of mix that most rubs me the wrong way. Too bad they didn't use a style like Princess Madelyn or base it around Famicom limitations like Mega Man 9.
As it is, I'd rather play one of the hundreds of classic pixelart games that I've yet to finish or haven't in a long time.

This looks like tons of fun, but I don’t like the Famicom-style color limitations given they aren’t limiting themselves in any other ways. They should have gone for a PCE aesthetic.

I could rant a bit about the pixel art but it is what it is. Gameplay seems like it will be fun. I like the color rendering of the train boss.

The bosses look great! I noticed a lot of worryingly flat stage areas so I hope that the level design ends up being interesting. That seems to be becoming a lost art. I've played far too many 2D pixel-styled games lately with boring level structure, including some games from Init Creates.

Got around to watching the trailer last night. I appreciate that they're trying to call back to the NES Castlevania games, but the art seems a bit inconsistent. That is, some things look a little too good. It does look like it has some interesting gameplay. For instance, I like that you can use the alchemist character's defensive ability and immediately switch to someone else and have it affect them. Seems it's only going to be $10, so not too big an investment. I backed Bloodstained on Kickstarter, so I'm getting this as a free bonus, so I figure it'll be worth what I'm paying for it.

Looks like a take on CV3 which i'm fine with.Still the whole indie scene has really played out on using 8-bit graphics. For once i like to see some thing in the vain of 16-bit for a change.Regardless i may give bloodstain curse of the moon a try, since ritual of the night is still a ways off.At least iga can where's konami can't since there next castlevania is for those stinking mobiles

For what i've played on consoles either it's a hybrid or going the other direction. Now i don't expect to see a indie game be on the level of neo-geo graphics but i like to see it pushed more.

it's $10. As that it looks awesome and is a no-brainer for me. I'll pick it up next week, probably on the Switch.

Anybody pick this up yesterday? I did on the Switch and I really, really like it. It's pretty much a complete Castlevania knockoff, but it plays way better than any existing "8-bit" Castlevania. I only played the first few levels, but was really impressed.
