Hello, Following the first version as depicted here: pcengine.proboards.com/thread/1176/flash-cart-projectI decided to give it a sequel to allow playing CD ROM games on a PC engine GT/Turbo express or any other kind equipped with Hucard port. It is not yet fully ready but not so far. It will fix the limitations of the first version by bringing MicroSD slot in addition to the 4MBytes built in Flash. Here are some features: -CD audio (Mono) and ADPCM sound -For development purposes, games can be loaded into built-in RAM through the Micro USB connection -FAT32 support -4MBytes integrated Flash allowing to play Hucard games without MicroSD -As already stated, CD ROM games supported through Hucard slot Estimate for production price is around $110 (100€). More options are always good, are you planning any differences with the EDPro? Is this mainly for developers? looks cool!

Will this unit, like the TED Pro, be unable to play CD games on Duos and units with CD-ROM attachments?

Thanks for you interest.
I might be wrong but as far as I know the TED (even pro) has no flash for internal games storage. It needs MicroSD upon cold start to copy selected game into RAM.
The CDRomulator allows installing a list of games inside the internal Flash (up to 4MBytes) for playing without MicroSD.
The USB port is always fitted (not optional).
It is possible to copy a game through the USB into built in SRAM for testing.
If you have any other suggestion for development or oher features, let me know.
If a regular CD unit is attached eg to a PC engine, the CDRomulator will act as pure Hucard, it will still be possible to play games from the CD unit, However it won't be possible from the CDRomulator.

Will you incoporate four 1.5 mm (or 2mm) holes near the corner of the expose area of the pcb for accomondating a shell/protective cover?
