Hi, First post here and a link below to images - mods pls delete if this is not appropriate, I’m a newbie! I have a pc engine that displays a smaller image than my other pce or core, when hooked up to my crt via one of those cheap rgb adapters or my super system 3 - it’s very odd. Clarity is fine but the image is shrunk. Inside is the monster mod you see on the pics….it appears soldered to the rf box plus to points on the underside of the board…it’s horrific!! Any ideas what this is and if I remove it and the rf module, will an rgb mod still work? Pics here and again my apologies if this is not protocol: ibb.co/nDWTDzKibb.co/C73BygBThanks Pat

When you say “smaller image”, do you mean that the vertical size is smaller (for example, with bars of empty space at top or bottom), or do you mean that both vertical and horizontal dimensions are smaller ?
From your descriptiin, this might be a PAL mod; if so, the action in games would likely also be slower (about 5/6 of normal speed).

Great point and just as you say, shrink to be pal it looks like, even on the pal crt.
Thanks for the info - have you ever seen anything as bad as this before?

In terms of overall quality, I've seen a few that are worse, but I don't think I've ever seen something that large crammed into the limited space of the PC Engine.
