Just wondering how many people are using Linux/UNIX/some variant when developing for PC Engine, and how many are using Windows...
And for the people using Windows, are you familiar enough with Linux that it would be possible to move your workflow, if there was a compelling reason ? (i.e. development tool)
I have some ideas on this topic, and wondering how many people would be able to easily take advantage of it. (I don't want to mention too much until it's further along in its development.)

Windows 10 Version10.0.18363 Build 18363 (public release 1909)
Edit:
I am not familiar with using Linux OS beyond a short time using it in college for a class, and have worked at studios that rely on Cygwin.
I would prefer to stay on Windows because of my familiarity with that OS and its compatibility with ProMotion.
My current workflow is 1. Open VS Code, ProMotion, and github Desktop. 2. Make changes in promotion and export art 3. Build and run in VS Code to launch the game with latest changes in either emulator (Bizhawk), or directly to TED2 via USB 4) Push desired changed files to repo via github
Our build scripts are windows CMD bat files, and the TED2 usb launcher is windows CMD as far as I can tell as well.

Windows for graphics, mapping etc. I'd never move to Linux.

Just wondering how many people are using Linux/UNIX/some variant when developing for PC Engine, and how many are using Windows... Windows 7 (I can't stand Windows 10!) And for the people using Windows, are you familiar enough with Linux that it would be possible to move your workflow, if there was a compelling reason ? (i.e. development tool) I have various Linux partitions, but I generally run Linux in a Virtual Machine. Some day I will run Linux as my main OS, and Win7 in a Virtual Machine ... but that day hasn't quite come (yet). My biggest problems with Linux is that various tools just don't run under it, such as KRIKzz's TurboUSB uploader, and ProMotion, and on top of that, I just can't find a decent (affordable) text editor on linux. Now that the Visual Studio Code editor exists, I need to give it a try, but IMHO Visual Studio on Windows is only barely usable for editing source code. I have some ideas on this topic, and wondering how many people would be able to easily take advantage of it. IMHO, the thing that is most badly needed for PCE development is Source Level Debugging. Without that we're just stuck with the primitive development cycles of the early 1980s.

Windows 10 for home use mostly. Linux at work. At home I run linux subsystem for windows (ubuntu) for some stuff, and msys for other stuffs. I haven't had a chance to build a cheap linux box yet. I hate windows scripting (legacy batch) and don't care to learn powershell, so I usually just write the majority of my scripting logic and tool chain glue logic in python, which runs in fine in both bash and windows cmd.

I developed Space Ava 201 on Windows making heavy use of Windows Subsystem for Linux; my workflow depends heavily on X11 (well, Tkinter, but you need X for that on Windows).
I've used Mac and Linux as well, as far as Unixes go I prefer Mac but admittedly it has gotten more locked down as of late.

Oh god, this. The UI in Win10 is abysmal.
